Employee Spotlight | Eileen Gillis, Customer Success Manager

In this month's Bit by Bit Employee Spotlight, we are excited to feature Eileen Gillis, one of our dedicated Customer Success Managers.

Eileen's journey in the IT world spans an impressive 33 years, starting as a help desk analyst and evolving through various roles such as Help Desk Supervisor, Communications Expert, Major Incident Manager, SharePoint Administrator, Digital Workplace Adoption Consultant, Corporate Trainer, Project Manager, and Scrum Master. Her extensive experience and diverse skill set have made her an invaluable asset to our team.

At our firm, Eileen plays a crucial role as a Customer Success Manager. Her primary responsibility is to ensure that clients are satisfied, their needs are met, and they derive the most value from our products and services. Eileen works closely with both clients and technicians, facilitating communication and fostering strong relationships. She humorously notes that her job involves a lot of talking, but it's this interaction with people that she loves the most. 

Eileen's passion for her role shines through when she talks about her favorite part of the job: dealing with people. She finds joy in building relationships and learning about clients' lives, becoming invested in their stories. Her love for people-watching is perfectly suited to her role, allowing her to observe and connect with a diverse range of individuals. 

As a child, Eileen aspired to be a Corporate Lawyer, but her path led her to the dynamic world of IT instead. Outside of work, she enjoys doom scrolling on YouTube and engaging in social activism. Eileen's life has been filled with happiness and normalcy, growing up in Montreal and spending summers on her grandparents' farm. A unique aspect of her life is that she has authored four books showcasing her talent and creativity. 

Eileen's favorite superhero is the Winter Soldier, a character who resonates with her due to his perseverance and determination to overcome obstacles and redeem himself. Her favorite book is "The Giver" by Lois Lowry, and she enjoys watching "Dr. Strange." When it comes to food, Eileen has a particular fondness for Korean cuisine. Her ideal getaway is a cozy cabin in the woods, provided it has internet service. For binge-worthy television, she loves British game shows.
