At Bit by Bit, complex systems work best when they’re supported by people who enjoy solving problems and bringing clarity to challenging situations. This month, we’re spotlighting Joseph Dadey, whose decades of technical experience and natural curiosity make him a steady force behind critical communication systems.
A Career Built on Fixing What Matters
Joseph’s career in technology stretches back to 1998, with roots in customer service even earlier. Long before titles and tools evolved, his work centered on helping people and fixing things, skills that continue to define his approach today.
Over the years, Joseph has worked in many forms of technical support, building deep experience by troubleshooting, maintaining systems, and tackling issues others might shy away from. That long-term, hands-on exposure has shaped him into someone who thrives when things are complex and unclear.
Bringing Order to Critical Systems
At Bit by Bit, Joseph works on the RightFax and Telephony team, supporting customers with on-premise RightFax servers while also helping maintain a fleet of hosted RightFax servers powered by Bit by Bit’s network and telephony infrastructure.
His role sits at the intersection of reliability and problem-solving, ensuring essential communication systems stay operational and dependable.
What does he enjoy most about the work?
“I get to bring order to chaos and help solve technical puzzles all day. What’s not to like?”
That mindset makes him a natural fit for a role where calm thinking and persistence matter.
Early Instincts & Lasting Influence
As a child, Joseph imagined a future as a mechanic or someone who fixed things, an early clue to the work he does today. That instinct to understand how things work and make them better has stayed with him throughout his career.
The person he admires most is his brother, John, who passed away in 2007 from Cystic Fibrosis. John’s life left a lasting impression, teaching Joseph the importance of following his heart and staying true to himself, regardless of outside expectations.
Beyond the Systems: Life Outside of Work
Outside of work, Joseph continues to tinker, especially with technology. He finds joy in giving new life to older, obsolete hardware, approaching it with the same curiosity and care he brings to his professional work.
He’s also a music lover who enjoys listening and attending live performances, and more recently, he’s taken up caring for houseplants. With a little help from AI (and plenty of photos), his plants are thriving, so far, so good.
Joseph also spent 20 years living in Tucson, Arizona, an unexpected chapter that shaped his perspective, and he has a strong appreciation for travel, with London ranking high among his favorite places.
Here are a few quick favorites that round out his profile:
- Favorite “Superhero”: Composer Dmitry Shostakovich
- Favorite Book: Animal Farm
- Favorite Movie: No single favorite
- Go-To Food: All of it, no discrimination
- Favorite Place to Visit: London, England
- Comfort Viewing: The Orville
Curious, Grounded, and Unflappable
Joseph brings a thoughtful, steady presence to Bit by Bit. His ability to untangle technical challenges, paired with decades of experience and a genuine love of problem-solving, makes him a trusted resource for both teammates and clients.
Reliability You Can Hear
At Bit by Bit, dependable technology is built on people who understand both systems and the people who rely on them. Joseph embodies that balance every day, and we’re proud to have him as part of the team.
