This month, we’re excited to introduce Matt Bell, a Help Desk Engineer and Junior Network Engineer from our Arlington, Texas office, whose versatility, hands-on approach, and eagerness to learn make him an essential part of the team.
From Trucks to Tech: Matt’s Journey
Before joining Bit by Bit, Matt’s career spanned a variety of roles that reflect his adaptability and curiosity. From being a field scout for crop pests and working for an aerial applicator to operating heavy equipment, driving trucks, and supervising warehouse production, Matt has always embraced challenges. He also served as an Animal Control Officer, further honing his problem-solving skills and ability to manage diverse situations. Each experience helped shape his practical mindset and readiness to tackle whatever comes his way.
What Matt Actually Does (Besides “Listening to Melanie”)
As a Help Desk Engineer and Junior Network Engineer, Matt wears many hats. He provides hands-on support for on-site break/fix issues, workstation setups, and networking and server projects for local Texas clients. While he jokingly says he “does what Melanie tells him to,” his role is vital in keeping the team and clients’ technology running efficiently and reliably.
Why He Loves the Grind
Matt appreciates the flexibility his role offers and the opportunity to continuously learn new skills. Every day brings something different, which keeps his work engaging and rewarding.
