Professional Journey
After graduating from Missouri Southern State University, Kevin spent nine years as a Store Manager at Walgreens. He then returned to his hometown of Neosho, MO, and joined Connecting Point Computer Center in Joplin, MO. Over the next 27 years, Kevin held roles in outside sales, business consulting, and eventually inside sales—a position he helped create. In December 2021, he brought his deep experience to Bit by Bit.
Role at Bit by Bit
Kevin’s primary responsibility is preparing quotes for our sales and technical teams. This includes sourcing products and pricing from vendors, securing special manufacturer pricing, processing orders, and tracking shipments. He also manages software license and hardware warranty expirations, ensuring clients receive timely renewal quotes.
What He Loves About His Role
“The best part of this role is interacting with our Bit by Bit team and working together to fulfill a client’s need,” Kevin shares. “After 30 years in the industry, I still enjoy learning how our world works—how companies operate and contribute to the economy. And working from home? The commute can’t be beat!”
Childhood Dreams
Kevin’s earliest ambition was to play basketball or baseball at Crowder Community College in Neosho, MO. Though his athletic dreams didn’t pan out, he also aspired to be a big league umpire—a dream that stayed with him for years.
Hobbies and Interests
Kevin is a devoted sports fan, spending hours watching baseball (at any level), college football and basketball, tennis, auto racing, and track & field. He’s also an avid reader of biographies and historical non-fiction—currently reading a biography of Michael Jordan. Outside of hobbies, Kevin is deeply involved in his community. He serves as Treasurer for both his church and its food pantry, which supports over 1,000 families monthly in Newton County, MO. He also facilitates a weekly class called RISE (Reaching Independence through Support and Education), helping individuals become more self-sufficient.
Who He Admires Most
Kevin credits his parents and his wife Donya, his best friend of 40 years, as the people he admires most. “There’s no way I could have made it this far without Dad, Mom & Donya,” he says
. A Unique Life Moment
In 1971, Kevin chose Manny Sanguillen, catcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates, as his favorite player. In 2017, he received a birthday card from Sanguillen—thanks to a surprise coordinated by his daughter and the Roberto Clemente Museum. “I doubt many people have a birthday card from their sports hero!”
